New bank opens in Bay Ridge

Local elected officials joined representatives of Dime Bank at aribbon-cutting for their newest branch, at 86th Street and FourthAvenue.

The theme of festive event, on Thursday, April 7, was givingback to the community. State Senator Marty Golden and CouncilmemberVincent Gentile were in attendance, ready to hand out citations,for Dime’s generous community involvement.

Representatives of two nonprofit organizations, NIA CommunityServices and HeartShare Human Services of New York, were also inattendance.

Mary Anne Cino, CEO of NIA, accepted a donation from the bankfor a senior citizen prom that NIA hosts. The president ofHeartShare, William Guarinello, recognized the importance of Dimein aiding the nonprofit ventures in Bay Ridge.
