Music is in the air at Saint Bernadette School inDyker Heights. In a unique music program, students ingrades four through eight have the opportunity to participate inthe handbell choir. Under the direction ofLynn Truncale of the Paul Effman MusicCompany, approximately 20 students practice every Fridayafternoon to perfect the sound of two octaves ofhandbells. The bells were obtained through ananonymous donor. This year marked the debut of theprogram, and the students performed in two concerts for theschool.
