RIDGE NIGHTLIFE AND DINING: Girl’s night Out

Fall is a time of change. The leaves change, the weatherchanges, and our routines change. It is also a time when women hearthe siren’s song of fall fashions and flock in droves to the mall,to update their wardrobes with fresh autumn looks.

Last month, Manhattan was invaded by fashionistas from around theglobe, here to celebrate Fall Fashion Week. Here at home, next weekwill mark our own trend-setting event, sure to inspire majorwardrobe change.

On Thursday, October 13, Jovi the Brooklyn Social will hold itslatest Girl’s Night Out event at Dyker Golf Course and CountryClub. The event will feature local vendors who will offer thelatest in clothing, jewelry, lingerie, shoes, handbags, makeup andaccessories.

The Brooklyn Social celebration will include a special performanceby Brooklyn’s own Bobbie Brei, along with a ton of fabulousshopping. Girl’s Night Out will also provide a three-hour open bar,light appetizers and sweet treats. There will be limited goodiebags filled with swag for early birds.

Advance tickets are on sale for $30 and the price at the door willbe $40. Proceeds will be donated to one of this year’s sponsors,beatingcancerinheels.org. The website provides support to youngwomen fighting cancer by providing a place to share their storiesand find strength in others fighting the disease.

Brooklyn Social provides event planning and public relationsservices to some of Brooklyn’s best businesses. Last spring’sGirl’s Night Out event at Capri Lounge provided a chance for trendyBrooklynites to get dressed up for a night of shopping andtoasting, on the town. This event is sure to be even bigger andbetter, with spots already filling up.
