POLICE BEAT: Two boys injured in hit-and-run

Two 12-year-old boys were injured when they were struck by a carwhile riding together on a bicycle on the corner of Avenue S andEast 4th Street in Gravesend.

The incident took place on November 1 at 9:47 p.m., according to anNYPD spokesperson. The boys were riding on the same bike – oneriding and one standing on the back – when a vehicle travelingeastbound on Avenue S struck them and then left the scene of theaccident.

Both boys were taken to Lutheran Hospital before the NYPD couldarrive and they are currently listed in stable condition. There isno description of the vehicle. There were no arrests made and theinvestigation is ongoing.
