World Science Festival Hits Brooklyn

Fans of everything science, technology, art and music had a chance to rub elbows at the fifth annual World Science Festival, held for a week in late May and early June at locations throughout Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn, including Metrotech Commons.

To mark the occasion, thousands of attendees of all ages checked out exhibits and lectures on topics such as the future of water, the interaction between technology and archaeology, fluorescent coral reefs, the science of human resilience, the biological basis of mental illness, music therapy, and more. Highlights included demonstrations at Innovation Square, stargazing at Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the Ultimate Science Street Fair at Washington Square Park.
