With July ending soon, enjoy the rest of this summer weather and upcoming events. Every day, we’ll give you a quick rundown of some great events – which are also available in our Events Calendar. If we missed something, feel free to post your own event.

  • Come out for Monday night ‘beer dinners’ at Perilla, which is located at9 Jones Street in Manhattan. Perilla asks you make your reservation for a 5 course meal paired with Stillwater Artisanal Ales. Stillwater’s craft beers paired with Perilla’s awesome menu is sure to be a memorable experience. $60 per person.
  • If you’ve had McClure’s Pickles, then you know that they’re pretty much the best pickles around. In this class, Bob McClure himself will go over pickling techniques and scientific pickle facts. You’ll get your hands on some pickle brine and seasonal ingredients and be able to take home a jar of pickles that you helped make. McClure’s class takes place from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in The Brooklyn Kitchen, located on 100 Frost Street on the Williamsburg/Greenpoint border. Tickets are $55 per person.
  • Tonight at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, August 4th, Chef Paul Qui, winner of Top Chef season 9 and the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef Southwest award, will be cooking in the City Grit kitchen for six nights. Make your reservation soon to try this Austin chef’s work for yourself. $95 (plus tax) per person for seven courses with wine pairings.
