SummerScreen In McCarren Park Cancelled Tonight

Bittersweet news, friends.

Due to the anticipated rainstorms coming tonight – breaking the heat wave! – the organizers of SummerScreen at McCarren Park is cancelling tonight’s screening of Raising Arizona.

The movie will air, though. It has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, August 22. No word on whether the planned live music will also be transplanted to the new date.

In the meantime, make sure to cast your vote for the SummerScreen Viewer’s Choice screening for August 15! Click here to pick your favorite film out of a list of old favorites: The Goonies, The Lost Boys, Beetlejuice, Scream, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Empire Records, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

The winning film will be announced at the July 25 screening of Dirty Dancing on July 25.
