Start your week off right whether it be something for the kids or something for you, see what events are in store for later today and tonight throughout the borough.

 

  • From 5 – 9 p.m. an NYC [Re] Districting Commission Hearing will be held at Brooklyn Borough Hall located on 209 Joralemon Street. The NYC Districting Commission will hold five public hearings from August 13, 2012 to August 23, 2012. These hearings are open to the public. The purpose of these hearings is for the NYC Districting Commission to hear testimony from the public concerning the initial phases of its work in drafting a new districting plan for the New York City Council. Individuals wishing to pre-register for speaking time or to submit written testimony in advance may do so by signing up online at http://www.nyc.gov/districting. Individuals wishing to speak at any hearing will be provided up to three minutes of speaking time.
  •  Join Rooftop Films, NYC & Company, and the Coney Island Development Corp. every Monday for amazing films, music and more on the beach. This week there will be live music at 7 p.m. followed by The Muppets at 8:30. Come together on the beach at Coney Island, 3059 West 12th street.
