Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters likely to join Williamsburg Whole Foods complex

Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters may be coming to Williamsburg.

As reported in Crain’s, the trendy retailers will bring their popular brands of upscale-casual clothing to the under-construction shopping complex on Bedford Avenue between North Third and North Fourth Streets that is going to be anchored by Whole Foods.

Anthropologie is said to be in negotiations for a deal that would see it move into a 10,000-square-foot space at 242 Bedford Avenue that has an entrance via Berry Avenue. It would be their first Brooklyn location.

Urban Outfitters is said to have already finalized a deal to move into 102 North Sixth Street, between Berry and Wythe Avenues.

The shopping complex is slated to open in 2014.

Other potential tenants include J. Crew, New York Sports Club, Citibank, and Canadian retailer Joe Fresh.
