- A candlelight vigil last night for East Flatbush teen Kimani Gray, 16, who was killed by plainclothes NYPD officers late Saturday night for allegedly pointing a gun at them, turned into a violent protest – some are calling it a riot – against perceived police abuse that resulted in property damage, a few non-serious injuries, and one arrest. - NYC restaurants are in limbo today after a judge overturned the soda ban passed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the city’s Health Department that would have gone into effect today. Bloomberg vowed to win on appeal. [Yahoo! News]
- School officials at the Brooklyn Children’s Center are investigating an incident where a teenage boy shoved a disabled 13-year-old girl out the back of a moving school bus in Brownsville yesterday. [NYDN]
