An emergency vigil will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. outside of Long Island College Hospital (LICH) at 339 Hicks Street.
The vigil is in support of the beleaguered 155-year-old community hospital’s psychiatric unit, which is on the chopping block, along with the rest of the hospital, as part of owner SUNY Downstate’s plan to sell the property in order to save money and save its SUNY Downstate Medical campus.
