Muffin’s Pet Connection: Nari needs a home

WOOF WOOF…. HEY JUDE: “NARI, a large, two-year-old, neutered, vaccinated, creamy white German Shepherd/Husky mix — an adoptable dog in Brooklyn — is an extremely gentle and cuddly gent, who gives kisses, especially with chicken or turkey.

“He is great with dogs and kids and knows many of his commands. He is super house trained. He loves to run; a home near a park would be ideal. He is such a low maintenance guy; we can not imagine why his family would be so neglectful and then abandon him.

“Found as a skinny stray, we are now fattening up the boy with lots of good food. This is just a wonderful boy and we hope you give him the opportunity to brighten up your home.” — BROOKLYN ANIMAL FOSTER NETWORK

HEY JUDE: “HELP! HELP! HELP! PLEASE LIST THIS… New York State Residents, animal advocates: New York State Senate bill S 3753 is in danger.

“This Senate bill will lift the preemption in New York State Ag law that prevents local municipalities from enacting, enforcing and inspecting local pet dealers. Without this preemption lifted, we cannot fight puppy mill and kitten factory abuse in our state.

“We need to let the New York State Senate Agriculture Committee hear our voice. You are the voice for the suffering puppy mill dogs and cats. Without the committee hearing from the public, the bill will die. If you have any questions, call 631-338-7303 or email at bdjd999@aol.com. Thank you.” — Barbara Dennihy
