A convention, solely dedicated to [tattoo] ink lovers

The Urban Tattoo Convention is coming to Industry City in Sunset Park—233 37^th Street—for the very first time after three years of taking place in Manhattan.

“At the URBAN Tattoo Convention you will find the best of the best tattoo artists,” said Al Fliction, president of the convention, who added, “It is through their participation we are able to create an event that recognizes the beauty of this art form, as well as further educates attendees about tattooing.”

From June 28 through June 30, activities will include: “the Worst Tattoo,” scheduled for opening night beginning at 6 p.m., with the winners of the leg sleeve, arm sleeve, small color, medium color, and tribal categories promised to receive a free cover-up tattoo provided by BKLYN INK Tattoo Boutique.

Next on the list is “Tattoo of the Day,” scheduled for the same day at 8 p.m.; on Saturday, June 29 at 5 p.m.; and on Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m.
