Muffin’s Pet Connection: Bentley needs a home

WOOF WOOF: HELLO, I am Bentley, a two-year-old Pit Bullup-to-date on all shots and neutered. I am a solid 53 pounds at last check up, friendly, and I love to play.

“Unfortunately, I am not properly socialized with other dogs and still need work there. Currently, I get spooked and bark. I need a very slow introduction. I have not had much contact with kids, so I err on the side of caution there.

“Gant cannot keep me due to a strict no-pets clause in his lease and for financial reasons. Please call 443-756-4296 and come and meet me. I need a new home and a new friend…I need you! This could be the start of a new friendship.

HEY JUDE – DOUBLE-THE-FUN SIBS NEED A NEW HOME TOGETHERDante is a neutered, four-year-old, 20-pound, black and white, male Tuxedo cat. He has a rabies shot. He loves to cuddle, play, and sleep. He loves his three-year-old sister, Peyton.

“She is spayed and has a rabies shot. Both cats are de-clawed. She is super-friendly, petite, loving and so cuddly. She may be small but she loves to play fight with her big brother, and always wins.

“I am looking for someone to adopt my precious cats together only. They have been together for years and if they are separated for five minutes, they miss each other. My husband and I just had a baby, and he is highly allergic to them.See their pix at muffins.org/cats.htm

DEAR JUDE UPDATE: In the May 30 column, Alone in Boro Park’s challenging solution was to spay a stray cat in an Hasidic Orthodox neighborhood. After many prayers and phone calls, my friend Rachel, a non-practicing Jew, contacted a rabbi about spaying the cat.

The cat had to be suffering in order to have the operation. Cancer was mentioned. Rachel then had to buy the cat from Alone for five cents for ownership, buy the spay certificate with a check made payable to cash only, take cat for surgery, return the cat, and say nothing. This covert kitty caper was very hush-hush. No one involved knew or said anything. Shhhh.
