It’s a classic Shakespeare in the park night tonight with Smith Street Stage‘s “Julius Caesar” coming to Carroll Park at 7 p.m.. But unlike other adaptations of the literary work, this show features a woman in the titular role of Caesar.
Actress Sarah Dacey Charles will be walking in Caesar’s shoes during tonight’s outdoor production, the first of 11 shows that will run over the next few weeks in front of the Robert Acito Park House in Carroll Park.
Performances are June 28-July 2, July 5-7, and July 11-14 at 7 p.m. Audience members should bring their own seating, and admission is free, although donations will be accepted.
So come support local arts and artists on a beautiful summer night!
