South Slope Summer Stroll to bring summer fun to Fifth Avenue

Break out your rollerblades and skateboards because Friday, July 19, kicks off the South Slope Summer Stroll. From 5 to 9pm Fifth Avenue will be open only to foot traffic from 12 to 18 Streets so that Brooklynites can enjoy the music and family fun.

The event is hosted by the Park Slope Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District and will feature various free activities such as arts and crafts, face painting and a bouncy house. For the grown-ups, there will be outdoor seating to relax in and enjoy the food and drinks from local merchants.

Traffic will be rerouted for the Strolls, with the street closed to car traffic and the B63 and Fifth Avenue buses rerouted.

Just in case you miss this event, the fun will continue on Friday, July 26, at the same place and time!
