Muffin’s Pet Connection: Lil Kitty needs a home

MEEEOW, MEEEOW: Hi! I am LiL Kitty. As a little, tiny kitty, I was found as a stray by a nice lady who cared. She brought me to another nice lady who cared and took me in.

“A nice man who cared took me to a nice vet who cared and administered to my needs. Today, I run and play with my eight foster siblings who let me think I am the boss. (I really am, you know.)

“The fact is, I really want and need a forever home of my own with at least one other cat to play with. I am too young to be neutered, but my foster mom can help. Please contact: Rita at Rocky’s Place: 646-267-9876.

PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR CATS. THE NEXT ONE MAY NOT BE AS LUCKY AS ME.

PAWS 2 READ: For my birthday, Cat D surprised me with three great books. The first book I read was The Dali Lama’s Cat, a novel by David Michie which tells of the trials and tribulations of a stray kitten, taken from its mom, and dropped on the ground, which caused damage to its hind legs.

This muddy kitty, wrapped in a newspaper, was rescued from the slums of New Delhi and given a new life in the Dalai Lama’s beautiful sanctuary overlooking the snow-capped Himalayas. His Holiness’s compassion saved this unwanted kitten. She was known as HHC, the Snow Lion, Rinpoche and more names. This book is a keeper.

“WHAT’S ON MY MIND? CATS! Especially dumps. I presently have nine, count them, nine in a two-room apartment. Except for the two which I consider mine, the rest are considered friendly ferals.

“These are wonderful cats that belonged to someone, but when they got past the kitten stage, were no longer wanted. Not bothering to have these poor animals spayed or neutered, they were left to fend for themselves on the streets, get pregnant and produce more kittens that suffer a life of hell.

“Why can’t people think it through before adopting a kitten? They do not stay kittens forever and are not toys. BE RESPONSIBLE — SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR CATS. People are always complaining about the number of cats on the street. Do not blame the cats; blame your irresponsible neighbors.” — Rita Bell.
