Coney Island disaster drill

On Sunday, November 17, emergency responders staged a dirty-bomb drill in Coney Island.

The multi-agency drill culminated around a simulated radioactive bomb in a parking lot of MCU Park.

The drill was organized to prepare agencies in the event of a real terrorist attack.

Members of the NYPD, the FDNY and other emergency workers ran hazmat drills in the lot at 1901 Surf Avenue.
