Brooklyn Mercedes aims to score a hole-in-one for charity

With the help of Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn, Monmouth Medical Center Foundation will host its annual Invitation Golf Classic on June 14 at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, New Jersey.

“Monmouth Medical Center Foundation’s Golf Classic is designed to support the initiatives that strengthen and sustain Monmouth Medical Center’s industry leading advances in facility innovations, medical services and patient care,” said Doug Wells, Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn owner and chairperson of the Golf Classic who cited the hospital’s work on breast cancer and childhood cancer in particular.

The round golf will start at 11 a.m. Prizes will be given to the best teams as well as individual players. There will also be three hole-in-one prizes, which will include luxury automobiles courtesy of Brooklyn Mercedes.

Raffle tickets for a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA will also be available for $100 each and only 1,500 will be sold, with the grand prize being a four door coupe. The event will conclude with a cocktail party, awards, prizes and a silent auction. 50/50 raffle tickets are $25.

The purpose of the event is to help “ensure that Monmouth Medical Center’s ongoing mission – providing advanced medical care using state of the art technologies in a world class setting is possible,” said Wells, who praised the hospital for its “multidisciplinary, collaborative philosophy designed to treat the ‘whole person, not just a collection of symptoms.’”
