Teams of New Yorkers, with help from 80 mentors, have until Saturday, July 12 to submit “connected devices, data tools, games, and other technology products, in addition to mobile and web apps, to solve the city’s toughest challenges.” The goal is to tackle ‘Challenges’ that range from supporting Vision Zero and early intervention education programs to connecting people to mental health resources.

Up to 20 finalists will be chosen and given time to fine-tune their product before presenting it live to judges in September. Over $100,000 in cash prizes will be provided by sponsors the likes of Google, Facebook and eBay.
