Police hunt for man who groped woman at 95th Street and Third Avenue

Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly grabbed and fondled a woman as she walked past Embers Steakhouse at 9519 Third Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16.

The man is described as an approximately 25-year-old Hispanic male standing five-feet-eight-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

After the woman screamed for help, the suspect fled on foot, heading westbound on 95th Street.

Responding officers did a grid search of the surrounding blocks with negative results.

Extra police officers both in uniform and in plain clothes are being deployed because of this incident.

The case was referred to the Brooklyn Special Victims Squad and it is being looked at to see if the details of this incident fall into any patterns.
