On Monday, August 4, at approximately 7:05 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a person in the water in the Hudson River at58th Street and 2nd Avenue (Pier 4), within the confines of the 72nd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit discovered an unidentified man, who was unconscious and unresponsive, within the water. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead on arrival.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.The same day, at approximately 12:06 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of a person in the water at the Elders West Island at Canarsie Veterans Circle, within the confines of the 75th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit discovered another unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive man. EMS responded and pronounced dead on arrival.The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.Leave a Reply
