News Briefs 10/30: Forest City Ratner seeks to sell stake in Barclay

Barclays Center majority shareholder Forest City Ratner is selling some or all of its 55 percent stake in the two-year-old Brooklyn sports arena, although Forest City Chair Bruce Ratner and Barclays CEO Brett Yormark would remain in their positions.

The news follows Forest City’s earlier attempt this year to look for buyers of its 20 percent stake of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team, to sell or find a development partner for a residential tower at 625 Fulton Street, and partnering with Shanghai-based Greenland Group on the Atlantic Yards project – now titled Pacific Park.

The Barclays arena is valued at approximately $750 million.
