All was merry and buzzed on Saturday, December 20 as Ridgeites suited up and sang along to their favorite Christmas carols at some of their favorite Fifth Avenue watering holes as part of the second annual Bay Ridge Santacon Bar Crawl.
The pubs – in cahoots since last year – have been working together to organize locally based events not only for fun but also to give back. This year’s crawl, which began at Bay Ridge bar Johnny Pumps and made its way down the strip, collected toys for veterans and the families of active military members.
“It’s a good time for a great cause,” said Red White and Brew owner Michael Crapanzano, dressed to the nines as none other than good old Saint Nick.
The all-day affair began and 12:30 p.m. sharp and saw Santas (and even one well-dressed Elf on a Shelf) stopping at Bean Post Pub, Skinflints, No Quarter, Full Moon Saloon, The Hideout, Lonestar, Lockyard, Kelly’s Tavern and Red White and Brew.
