The newly renovated Kings Theatre has announced programming for its inaugural year following the performance of internationally acclaimed artist Diana Ross on Tuesday, February 3.
Highlights of the theatre’s first year of programming include Crosby, Stills & Nash; Gladys Knight; Sarah McLachlan; the Moscow Ballet; Frankie Valli; dancehall reggae sensation Mavado; “Tales from the Silk Cotton Tree;” “Three Classic Fairy Tales” (presented by Disney Live!); “Annie” and more.
Shuttered for almost four decades, the Kings Theatre is now managed by ACE Theatrical Group. The $95 million public-private restoration began on January 23, 2013.
In addition, the Kings Theatre – located at 1027 Flatbush Avenue – will reopen to the public on Tuesday, January 27 for a free ticketed performance by local performance groups with a free open house tour scheduled for Saturday, February 7.
