Between Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11, the 68th Precinct received reports of two grand larcenies. The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.

CON-ED CON

A 41-year-old Asian woman working at a chain store near 75th Street and Third Avenue received a phone call on Wednesday, March 11 from an unknown suspect claiming to be with Con Edison. According to cops, the call came in around 12:51 p.m. and the unknown caller informed the woman that she needed to pay her electric bill.

The victim then purchased two pre-paid cards, both for $500, and paid the suspect.

SLICK SWIPE

A 29-year-old man was walking near the southeast corner of 65th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway on Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 a.m. when, cops say, an unknown man bumped into him. Seconds later, the victim noticed that his Michael Kors wallet was missing.

The suspect – described as an Asian man in his mid-30s with brown hair and brown eyes – made off with the victim’s social security card, driver’s license, and multiple credit cards.
