Blotter: 68th Precinct

Between Sunday, April 5 and Friday, April 10, the 68th Precinct received reports of three burglaries and one grand larceny. The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.

WIRE-D

Sometime between 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 and 8 a.m. on Friday, April 10, cops say, an unknown perp entered a residence near Sixth and Bay Ridge Avenues through the front basement door. The perp made off with copper wire valued at approximately $500.

SILVER STEAL

An unknown perp is said to have entered a residence near 81st Street and 11th Avenue through the front door on Thursday, April 9 between 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. According to cops, the perp made off with $875 and miscellaneous silver coins.

HEFTY HEIST

A burglar allegedly broke into a home near Gelston and Fourth Avenues on Tuesday, April 7, sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 9 p.m. According to cops, the unknown perp made his way into the residence through the rear window via the fire escape.

The perp made off with miscellaneous jewelry, four laptops, three gold bars and $2,500 in cash – a steal valued at approximately $33,206.

WANTED WALLET

A patron at a bar near 68th Street and Third Avenue had her wallet stolen from her purse, according to cops, on Sunday, April 5. Cops say that sometime between 1:30 and 2 a.m., the victim left her purse unattended on a chair and walked away. When she returned, she discovered that an unknown perp had reached inside and swiped her wallet, containing $200 in cash and various credit cards.
