John Dewey High School hosted its second annual community Spring Fest on April 25. Local families flocked to the 16-acre campus in the heart of Bensonhurst to enjoy a free day of festivities. Neighborhood children jumped in the bouncy house, rocked in the half moon and snaked around the campus in a trackless train. The Dewey students and staff served visitors candied apples, popcorn and cotton candy while the children played carnival games, danced with costumed characters and had their faces painted.
