NYPD seeks help finding burglar

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted for a burglary which occurred on Friday, April 17.

According to cops, at approximately 11 p.m. near Homecrest Avenue and Avenue V, the suspect – described as a white male last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a zipper on the front while also holding a yarmulke in his hand to cover his face — entered the home of a 35-year-old male by cutting a screen of a side window and removed a Galaxy S3 cellphone and $20. The suspect also cut a wire to the surveillance camera in the backyard.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
