86th Street Festival full of fun

Bensonhurst’s 17th Annual Street Festival saw the best of what Brooklyn had to offer on Sunday, June 7.

The yearly celebration, held from 19th Avenue to Bay Parkway, turned out thousands of attendees for some rides, games, food, entertainment and fun in the sun.

“It went fantastic,” said festival organizer Chip Cafiero. “It was one of the best ones we’ve ever had and the weather had a lot to do with it.”

Cafiero said it was the biggest crowd to date and vendor spaces sold out.

“The vendors all did very well and we were finished by seven o’clock,” added Cafiero. “The best thing is when I hear from the vendors how great it was. It was a great day all around.”
