Apple Bank has taken another bite out of Bay Ridge with its new location at 426 86th Street!
The over 150-year-old banking corporation celebrated the debut of its 18th branch in Brooklyn with a grand opening on Monday, June 29.
“Brooklyn is a big market for us and we’re very excited to continue expanding,” said Vice President and Director of Marketing Constance Martin. “We love Brooklyn so 86th Street is kind of a continuation of our Brooklyn presence and it rounds out the presence in Bay Ridge. We’re right in the middle of the best and liveliest shopping district in all of Brooklyn as far as we’re concerned.”
The bank already has a Bay Ridge location on Fifth Avenue between 74th and 75th Streets; however the team over at the 86th Street branch noted that this location was one they had had their eyes on for quite some time.
“It’s an area that we wanted to be in for many years,” said John Alfke, the bank’s regional vice president. “We’re very happy that we’re here now.”
According to Alfke, the 86th Street branch currently has six full-time employees with Rosemary Vitale serving as branch manager.
“Rosemary has been branch manager before at our 18th Avenue branch,” Martin said. “You’re getting a branch manager who really knows the community. People tend to come to Apple Bank and stay because it’s a great place to work.”
Martin added that the bank has some great products and special rates available specifically for Bay Ridge residents at the new branch.
The bank can be reached at 718-748-4663. Its hours are Monday to Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
