A man was critically injured and a woman also suffered severe injuries after falling off of an apartment building’s roof in Bushwick early Sunday morning, police reported.
The incident reportedly occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 20 at a building on Troutman Street near Cypress Avenue, authorities said.
According to police, the couple had been partying on the roof all night when the 34-year-old man and 22-year-old woman attempted to climb a ladder to reach a high structure of the building.
On their way up, police said, the ladder gave way, sending the man falling four stories to the ground where suffered severe head and body trauma; the 22-year-old woman fell close to 15 feet.
Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident and both victims were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where the male is in critical condition and the female was listed as in stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
