Police search for female involved in MTA employee assault

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for an assault that took place inside a Bay Ridge subway station.

On Tuesday, September 15 at around 1 a.m., the victim, a 52-year-old female MTA employee, was inside the Bay Ridge Avenue subway station — located within the confines of the 68 Precinct — when she saw a man and a woman engaged in a verbal dispute. She then saw that the pair was arguing with another MTA employee. When the 52-year-old advised the other MTA employee not to get involved and to notify the police, the female suspect punched her in the head. The female suspect and the male then fled the station. The victim refused medical attention on the scene.

According to police, the suspect is a 30 to 35-year-old Hispanic female, 5’5″ tall, weighing 160 pounds.
