Suspected wanted for attempted rape in the 83rd Precinct

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted rape in Bushwick earlier this month.

On Sunday, Sept. 6, at approximately 1 a.m., the 26-year-old female victim was walking in the area of Evergreen Avenue and Grove Street when the suspect, described as a black male, grabbed her from behind, forced her to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her.

The victim fought off the suspect and sustained minor injuries to her head and body. After the struggle the suspect fled the location without further incident. The case was reported to the 83rd Precinct.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red shirt.
