Teen stabbed, cop pepper-sprayed amidst brawl near Barclays

A 16-year-old student was stabbed in the stomach and a cop was pepper-sprayed in the face amidst an after-school brawl near the Barclays Center on Monday, September 21, according to cops.

According to police, units responded to a 911 call regarding a large group of teenagers convened outside of 139 Flatbush Avenue at around 3:45 p.m. When they arrived, cops said, officers discovered a group of high schoolers fighting.

One student, who – according to reports – hailed from South Shore High School, was stabbed in the stomach. He and one other teen were transported to Brookdale Hospital. The second teen was treated for lacerations resulting from being punched in the face, according to cops, who say that the stabbing victim is expected to survive.

The injured officer hailed from the 78th Precinct.

Two teens were arrested following the fight.
