62nd Precinct Police Beat: Sister hits brother with laptop, man punched while pumping gas

Between Saturday, October 24 and Monday, October 26, the 62nd Precinct received reports of one grand larceny auto, one robbery, two burglaries and one felony assault. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend.

HARD DRIVE TO THE HEAD
At around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 25, inside an apartment near 20th Avenue and 79th Street, a 12-year-old Asian boy was hit over the head with a laptop. According to cops, the boy’s 27-year-old sister hit him with the computer during an argument. The boy received medical attention at the scene.

PARKPLEXED
On Monday, October 26, a woman returned to her parking spot near 23rd Avenue and 78th Street at around 1 p.m. to find her 2003 gray Honda Civic missing. Police do not know which way the car was driven off, and there were no cameras at the scene.

BLINDSIDED
A man was punched in the head while pumping gas at a station near 16th Avenue and 86th Street on Saturday, October 24 at around 7 a.m. According to cops, the unknown attacker also removed $200 from the man’s back pocket and fled on foot.

BUILDING BURGLAR
An unidentified man was seen trying to gain access to an apartment building near Bath Avenue and Bay 26th Street at around 8 a.m. on Monday, October 26. Tenants at a nearby building told police that the building’s front door had been tampered with.

TAKEN TOOLS
A construction site near 21st Avenue and 68th Street was broken into on Saturday, October 24 at around 6 p.m., according to cops. The perp allegedly gained entry to the site through the fence of a neighboring site, and fled the scene with miscellaneous tools.
