According to police, the suspect — identified as a black male, mid- to late-twenties, standing between 5 feet 11 inches tall and 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 180 to 190 pounds — followed his 22-year-old female victim as she entered her building on Evergreen Avenue at about 12:01 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.

Authorities said the suspect, armed with a kitchen knife, approached the victim from behind and forced her to the fourth floor landing where he removed her pocketbook. He then forced her to commit what police described as a criminal sex act on him.

The suspect then fled the building, police stated.

Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident; the victim was removed to a local hospital by an EMS unit, where she was treated and released.
