Suspect wanted for attempted rape in 83rd Precinct

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for rape within the confines of the 83rd Precinct, according to police.

On Friday, Oct. 2, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the 36 year-old female victim entered an apartment building located within the vicinity of Broadway and Myrtle Avenue in Bushwick when she was followed by the male suspect — described as being Hispanic, in his mid-20s, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with brown hair — who engaged her in a conversation, police reported.

Upon entering her apartment, the suspect followed her in, and attempted to sexually assault her. The suspect then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction, law enforcement agents said.
