62nd Precinct Police Beat: Stolen car found with seats missing, man stabbed in stomach

Between Thursday, November 26 and Sunday, November 29, the 62nd Precinct received reports of one grand larceny auto, one felony assault and one grand larceny. The 62nd Precinct serves Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend.

SEAT SWIPED
A 30-year-old Asian man had his car taken from his own driveway on Thursday, November 26 according to police. The man, who lives near 15th Avenue and 64th Street, reportedly has a video recording of an unknown perp—wearing a hoodie—entering his driveway and driving off with the car, a 2008 white Honda. Cops recovered the vehicle the next day near 64th Street and 18th Avenue, and noticed the car’s seats had been removed.

STREET STABBING
A 63-year-old white man told police that on Thursday, November 26 at around 7 p.m., he was stabbed by an unidentified Hispanic man near 86th and Bay 31st Streets. The unknown perp stabbed the man in the stomach with a knife and fled on foot, according to cops. The 63-year-old was taken to Lutheran Medical Center.

HOLIDAY SWIPING
A 51-year-old man put his wallet down at the checkout counter of a Bay Parkway store on Sunday, November 29 at around 2:13 p.m. and left without it, according to cops. The man returned to the store to find the wallet missing. The wallet contained $473, credit/debit cards and the man’s driver’s license. The store might have possible surveillance footage of a perp leaving with the wallet.
