Between Saturday, December 2 and Thursday, December 10, the 68th Precinct received reports of three grand larcenies and one act of animal cruelty. The 68th Precinct serves Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.
SHOP OF HORRORS
A 68-year-old Hispanic man’s evening of shopping turned bad when an unknown thief stole his wallet at a deli near 70th Street and Third Avenue on Tuesday, December 8. The shopper had taken the wallet, which contained a credit card and $20, out to make his purchases and placed it on the counter when a perp snatched it and fled the scene.
BAD FOOD
Cops report that the poisoning of animals appears to be continuing in Bay Ridge as a 52-year-old female claims an unknown perp placed rat poison onto a food container near the southeast corner of Ridge Boulevard and 92nd Street on Thursday, December 10. She stated that she did not know the perp.
NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT
Twenty-seven boxes of allergy relief medicine, teeth white strips and batteries were swiped from a pharmacy near 93rd Street and Third Avenue on Sunday, December 6 at approximately 9:52 p.m. According to cops, an unknown male and female are the suspects in the incident. The value of the stolen merchandise was approximately $1,470.
CAR PROPERTY STOLEN
A 24-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man discovered that approximately $835 worth of property had been stolen from their Jeep, which was parked near the southwest corner of Cropsey Avenue and Bay 8th Street when they returned to the vehicle at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. Missing were an iPhone, a black purse, Coach eyeglasses, credit cards and a wallet. There was no sign of forced entry.
