“Blue Bloods” taking over the Ridge again

Now producing its sixth season, CBS’ “Blue Bloods” is back in Bay Ridge this Tuesday, December 15.

Filming some serious action scenes at St. Patrick’s Church (9511 Fourth Avenue) this time around, there will be no shortage of excitement.

Parking, however, will be scarce.

According to a sign posted right outside St. Pat’s, film crews will be working from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and holding parking for equipment trucks and other production vehicles  on:

  • The East side of Fourth Avenue between 95th and 97th Streets
  • The West side of Fourth Avenue Between 96th and 97th Streets
  • The West side of Fourth Avenue between 95th and 96th Streets (half the block)
  • Both sides of 95th Street between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway
  • The South side of 95th Street between Fourth and Third Avenues (one-fourth of the block)
  • The North side of 97th Street between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway (one-fourth of the block)
  • The East side of Fort Hamilton Parkway between 95th and 97th Streets
  • The West side of Shore Road between 97th Street and Third Avenue

Cars need to be moved by 10 p.m., tonight, Monday, December 14. Vehicles parked in any of these locations will be towed to the nearest available legal parking spot, according to the location department and the NYPD.

One of the scenes filming on Tuesday will “involve actors in police uniforms, police cruisers with flashing lights and crowds of people running out of the doors of the church,” according to the show’s location department.

NYPD officers will be on set to monitor filming.

The show, which first aired in September of 2010, follows a multi-generational family of New York City police officers. The drama series stars Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan and Will Estes.
