Cabbie robbed after making drop off in Bushwick

One cab driver in Bushwick lost more than a fare on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, on Saturday, December 19, at 3:05 p.m., a livery cab driver picked up the suspect at the Par-Central Motor Inn, located at 82-85 Parsons Boulevard.

The suspect — described as a male Hispanic, approximately 35 years old, standing 5’6” tall with a bald head and a beard, as well as a tattoo on his right wrist — asked to be taken to Bushwick Avenue, authorities reported.

When the cab arrived at 1092 Bushwick Avenue, police noted, the suspect ordered the driver to pull over and then demanded cash. After the driver complied with the request, it was reported, the robber took the money, exited the cab and fled from the scene westbound on foot along Woodbine Street toward Broadway.

Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident. The driver was not injured.
