Foodies, rejoice: Darn Donuts marks grand opening in Bay Ridge

There’s a new donut in town.

One of the Ridge’s newest sweet shops, Darn Donuts, cut the ribbon on its flagship shop, 8723 Fourth Avenue, on Saturday, January 16.

The eatery – which specializes in creative concoctions like pretzel, key lime pie and Oreo donuts – marked its official grand opening with a showing of support from local residents, elected officials and all-around foodies.

According to owner Daniel Eivazov, despite a small tweak in Darn Donuts’ original recipe, the same love that was felt on Saturday has been felt since the store’s very first sale in late 2015.

“We sold out on Saturday so I think the community really liked the changes that we’ve made,” he said. “We want to thank Bay Ridge as a community for welcoming us and for making us a part of the family.”
