Two crooks wanted for Coney cab ride robbery

Cops are looking to identify two men wanted for robbing a Coney Island cab driver at gunpoint on Sunday, December 6.

According to police, the victim – a 67-year-old man – was driving near the northeast corner of West 35th Street and Surf Avenue with two male passengers in the car when, at around 1 a.m., they displayed a black firearm and demanded money.

The driver gave the suspects his wallet – which contained identification and $160 – and the two fled southbound on West 35th Street.

The first suspect is described as a white Hispanic man, standing approximately 5’10” tall and weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas hooded sweat-suit and white sneakers.

The second is described as a dark-skinned man, standing approximately 5’8” tall and weighing 180 pounds, with a beard, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black shirt, light colored pants and black shoes.
