Victim fights would-be robbers in Bushwick home invasion

One woman from Bushwick protected her apartment from three home invaders who broke into her residence earlier this week, police reported.

According to authorities, the three unknown male suspects — described as white Hispanics, each standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall — broke in through the front door of the victim’s multi-unit residence in the vicinity of Bushwick Avenue and Hancock Street on Wednesday, January 27, at 12:02 p.m.

Once inside, the suspects rummaged through drawers, looking for loot and confronted the 50-year-old female victim, police said.

The males then attempted to confine the victim to the bathroom when a struggle ensued, during which the victim suffered scrapes and bruises to her knees, law enforcement agents reported. The suspects then fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction. No property was taken.

Officers from the 83rd Precinct responded to the incident, and the victim refused medical attention from EMS units.
