A 54-year-old Asian woman returned to her home on 71st Street between 10th and 11th Avenues on Saturday, March 5 at around 7:15 p.m. to find that $128,500 worth of property, had been stolen. The loot — which included cash and several pieces of jewelry — had been stolen by an unknown perp, who broke into the home, ransacked the bedroom and broke open a safe that included $80,000 cash, 18 yellow metal rings worth approximately $10,000 and 15 metal necklaces worth $15,000. The bathroom window was open, according to the victim.

A 31-year-old woman was the victim of grand larceny when she left her car on the southeast corner of Ridge Boulevard and 93rd Street on Monday, February 29 at approximately 8:45 p.m. When she returned to the vehicle the following morning at around 9:30 a.m., she realized a perp had stolen two tires and rims worth approximately $2,000.
OPEN WINDOW
Between Saturday, March 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 6 at 1 p.m., a perp broke into a car that was parked near Third Avenue and 94th Street belonging to a 19-year-old woman and stole her wallet through a window that had been left open on the passenger side. The wallet contained her credit cards, driver’s license and Social Security card.
ALL FOR NOTHING
An unknown perp broke into a store at Fourth Avenue and 86th Street, but left the place empty-handed on Sunday, February 28. Sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., cops say an unknown perp went to the roof of the building, pried a door open, and entered an unoccupied apartment. The perp then broke through the sheet rock wall into the store, causing approximately $250 in damage.
