Yet another Golden egg-stravaganza.
State Senator Marty Golden hosted his annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Contest at Shore Road Park and 79th Street on Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m.
Youngsters and their families were able to participate in a number of activities, including hunting for eggs, games, dancing and prize giveaways, and were able to meet the Easter Bunny as well. Music was provided by New York City Party Masters.
“Despite the chilly spring weather, we had an amazing turnout at the annual Easter Egg Hunt I hosted in Shore Road Park,” said Golden. “It is important that we continue to offer fun events for the children and families of this community. I thank all that worked with me to make the afternoon such a success — the smiles on the faces of the children surely was a great way to embrace the Easter spirit.”
During the ceremony, Golden talked to attendees as well as participated in the festivities.
“Every kid will have the ability to get eggs, which is very important,” he noted. “But the most important part is coming out and keeping our community a great one and making sure we have the events that keep our families involved in the communities.”
