NYPD seeks suspect for public lewdness on R train

A 21-year-old woman riding the R train got a front row seat for a show she had no desire to watch, according to police from the 72nd Precinct, who are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for questioning in connection with a public lewdness incident.

Cops  are circulating a photo of the suspect, a white man in his 20s, approximately 6’0” and 180 pounds. They allege that he played with himself in front of the unlucky female on a southbound R train at the 59th Street subway station at around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13.

The suspect then fled the train on foot.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
