Cops are looking to identify two young men they say are responsible for an attempted carjacking in the confines of the 62nd Precinct.
According to police, just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, a 25-year-old man met two other men in the vicinity of Kings Highway and West 12th Street, in an effort to sell his car. The man agreed to a test drive, during which one of the men displayed a gun and told the seller to get out of his vehicle. When he refused, both of the suspects attempted to remove him from the car. During the struggle, the victim pulled the keys from the ignition and fled from the two would-be crooks, who then ran southbound on West 10th Street.
The first suspect was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, gray sweatpants and white sneakers, and is described as a black man, anywhere from 18 to 25 years of age, 5’8” to 5’9” in height with a thin build and a dark colored backpack.
The second is also said to fit the same description, but was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweater, a blue t-shirt, black sneakers and dark colored sweatpants.
