Dine In Brooklyn on the lookout for new logo

Dine In Brooklyn — the borough’s very own restaurant week — is on the menu once again and, this time around, those in charge are hungry for a new logo.

The 10-day event — presented by Borough President Eric Adams in conjunction with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce — is looking for something “fun, hip and representative of the second-to-none dining experience in [the] borough.”

The winning logo will be used to represent the 13th annual restaurant week — slated to run Thursday, August 11 through Monday, August 22 — in all media, marketing and advertising materials.

“The restaurants of Brooklyn have become the envy of diners and food critics, with our innovative chefs reimagining classic dishes and featuring delicious, locally-sourced products that support our economy,” said Adams. “The event showcasing Brooklyn cuisine, Dine In Brooklyn, deserves a logo as creative as the food on our tables. The winning logo will represent the extraordinary diversity of cultures that have contributed to the most celebrated culinary destination in the world.”

“Brooklyn is as creative as any place on the planet, so this contest is the perfect way to tap into the immense talent of our graphic designers and find a logo that truly represents the originality of our food scene,” added Carlo A. Scissura, president and chief executive officer of the Chamber.

Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 16 to be eligible for a prize and the opportunity to be associated with the event. All entries must be submitted as a .jpg, .gif or .png file. For more information or to submit an entry, visit http://bit.ly/1QRNtoQ.
